Form Explorations
Selected form direction

Prototype 1

Refinements: Removal of visible screws, removal of inner kerf cut panel, rounding of slot corners, thinning of stool width

Prototype 2

Refinements: Offset footrests at two different heights, even corner radii, create ABS plastic tray

Part Breakdown
Constructed with 7 total pieces, canopy makes efficient use of its negative space. Both parts of the seat nest in the cutouts of the legs while the footrests nest in the negative space for the storage compartment. Only material loss during fabrication highlighted in red.
